The Buzz on Social Media Has Hit Frenzied Levels

Not being a Gen-Y-er, I like many of you, have been slow to adapt. I just don’t spend enough time in any Social Media site to make a diffference.

Recently, I was asked to speak at the NASRN conference in Fort Lauderdale about Sales Hiring. It was good fun for me.

One of the other speakers, John Rash, Director of Media Analysis for Campbell Mithun gave a very interesting talk about media usage patterns and its implications for NASRN members. John presented a lot of great information, however his comments on Social Media really caught my attention.

As I sat there, I realized that using Social Media to recruit is an excellent way to reach the younger sales applicants. What is even more interesting is that it is very inexpensive to always be looking for your next superstar.
